This Homemade Creamy Italian Dressing is so delicious you will find yourself eating more salads!  Homemade salad dressings are so easy to make and the taste is much better than the store bought variety. Once I started making my own dressings I never went back to the stuff from a bottle.
The great thing about making your own homemade dressing is the ability to adjust the amount of spices. If you prefer more salt or sugar it’s easy to alter the recipe to personal preference. Most of the ingredients will probably be on hand and ready to whip up immediately.
This creamy version of an Italian classic will become your next go to dressing.

Homemade Creamy Italian Dressing Recipe

If the dressing is too thick add a little more water. If too tart try adding a little extra sugar. Enjoy!


  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese or Romano/Parmesan blend (dried can variety)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar


  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until well combined.
  • Pour into a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.
  • Store in the refrigerator and use within one week.
