Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish Recipe

Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish Recipe makes the perfect accompaniment to a holiday turkey or ham.
This recipe is a must have for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations! We all know cranberries are a staple of the winter holiday grocery list, even if we aren’t sure what to use them for.
I suppose most folks cook them down in a pan and make a sauce, which is quite tasty and traditional.  However, once you try the fresh, uncooked, raw version…you may just have a new favorite!
Fresh cranberries have just the right amount of tartness and when combined with oranges it’s a perfect culinary match! And did you know that fresh cranberries are not only bursting with flavor, but also provide a healthy dose of good for your body antioxidants?

I remember holidays in the past eating cranberry jelly from a can…and I must admit that I do like it. But I love this homemade relish so much better! It’s a welcome change with just the right amount of crunch.
This recipe is so easy to make. It literally takes 5 minutes. During the holidays who doesn’t need some quick recipes? This one is a great time saver. Make it a couple of days before the big event! Then you will have time for all the roasting and baking and holiday fun making.
If you have enough leftover then simply store in the refrigerator for up to a week. However, it doesn’t last that long at my house.
And just imagine how delicious those post Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches will be! Load up a sub roll with mounds of turkey and a little dressing. Spoon on some of the relish and you’ve got a gourmet solution for all that leftover turkey. It’s delicious on ham too.
I’ve been making this Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish Recipe for years now, and I’m thinking that Thanksgiving and Christmas wouldn’t be the same without it. I think you will love it as well.
